FBaseball's First Top 50 Prospects List

The first edition of the FBaseball top 50 prospects is here and there is a lot to talk about.

Choosing the #1:

Choosing the top prospect was the toughest decision that I had to make on this list. I was really choosing between four players Leo De Vries, Jesus Made, Eli Willits, and Josue De Paula. De Paula is honestly the best hitter out of these four(currently) but how successful the other three have been at such young ages made me ultimately decide to put De Paula at number 4. Made is a very similar player to De Vries in many ways but has just not performed at the level that Willits and De Vries have which is why I made the ultimately controversial decision to put Made at number 3. Willits has absolutely mashed so far this year but recent struggles at high A and a shorter track record are the reasons why I put Willits at number two(for now). De Vries is ultimately just the most toolsy and talented player on the top 50 and I think that he fits the mantle of top prospect very well. He has greatly improved at the plate in 2026 and I greatly look forward to seeing what he can do at the major league level.

The Three Giants:

The Giants have done a great job on the international market recently and that shows on this list where they have three former internationally signed shortstops in Luis Hernandez(#11), Josuar Gonzalez(#14), and Jhonny Level(#20). As long as they can find spots for each of them to play (Due to the fact of all three playing the shortstop position) they could have three generational talents on their team at one time. I look forward to seeing where this story goes from here.

Coors Mashers:

The Rockies have two prospects on this list in Ethan Holliday(#9) and Charlie Condon(#15), both of them possessing 70 grade power. It seems like the Rockies are starting to try and work with their high-altitude stadium, especially in the farm system.

A Tale of Two Pitchers:

It is very rare that you will find two pitchers this talented in one prospect class. Kade Anderson(#5) and Seth Hernandez(#7) could both be cy young contenders some day which made picking who was going to be the top pitching prospect very difficult. These two pitchers have very different pitching styles but Kades numbers have just been so ridiculous that I had to go with him as the top pitching prospect. That is not a knock on Seth in any way. Seth was the first minor leaguer to reach 100 strikeouts in 2026 and is still only 20 and straight out of high school in his first pro season. Both will hopefully be cy young contenders some day and I look forward to watching them pitch in the pros.
