Foster Griffin, LHP, Washington Nationals

Griffin is the most interesting streaming name on this list because he might not be a National much longer. He's drawing extension talks and trade interest, which tells you everything about how good this guy has been. The Nationals are in a fascinating spot — they're playing meaningful baseball in late July, which nobody saw coming — and Griffin has been their anchor. He's an All-Star lefty pitching with confidence right now. If he's under 50% owned in your league, that's a mistake you need to fix today. Ian Seymour, LHP, Tampa Bay Rays

Quinn Mathews, LHP, St. Louis Cardinals

This one is about timing. Mathews has reportedly dropped off Triple-A Memphis's probable pitchers list, which is usually the tell that a callup is imminent. If he's heading to St. Louis — and it sure looks that way — you want to be ahead of it. Mathews has been one of the more intriguing pitching prospects in the Cardinals system, and a late-July callup with the Cardinals fighting to stay relevant in the NL Central is a real opportunity. Stash him now before the news drops officially and his ownership spikes. In deep leagues, this is a must-add. Even in shallower formats, the risk is minimal.

Blake Snell, LHP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Patience is running out for the fantasy managers who've been holding Snell all year. But here's the thing — Wednesday's rehab start with Single-A Ontario was legitimately encouraging. Nine strikeouts, one hit, no walks, four scoreless innings. That's not a guy just getting stretched out and going through the motions. That's a guy who looks healthy and sharp. The Dodgers are also desperate for rotation help — this is literally their deadline priority — which means Snell could fast-track back to the big league club. If he's available in your league, you need to pick him up now. His ownership has probably dropped due to the long absence, and when he returns, the matchups and the lineup behind him make him a legitimate SP1/SP2.

Zach McCambley, RHP, Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati recalled McCambley from Triple-A Louisville on Thursday. The Reds also just optioned Chase Petty, so there's a clear opening here. McCambley isn't a sexy name and he's going to be basically owned in nobody's league right now. But the Reds are in rebuild mode, they're handing out opportunities, and McCambley has earned himself a look. Check his upcoming schedule — Cincinnati doesn't have the toughest slate of opponents coming up — and if you've got a roster spot to burn, he's worth a flier in deeper formats. Worst case you drop him in a week. Best case he strings together two or three quality starts while better options come back from the IL.

Before you go stream-happy, keep an eye on the Deadline fallout. Pitchers getting traded can lose a start during the transition, change ballparks (hello, hitter-friendly venues), and face unfamiliar lineups on short rest.
