Top Prospects Pickups (July 1st, 2026)

July is here, and if you're not paying attention to the prospect pipeline right now, you're leaving roster spots on the table. The second half is when young players start to separate themselves — and a few names are worth adding before your leaguemates beat you to it.

Charlie Condon, OF/1B, Colorado Rockies

Condon was the third overall pick in the 2024 draft, and the Rockies haven't exactly been shy about fast-tracking him. If he's available in your league, that's a problem you should fix today.

The bat speed is legit. He hits the ball hard to all fields and has the kind of raw power profile that plays anywhere — but especially at Coors Field. That part almost feels unfair. You're talking about a guy built to hit 30-plus home runs at the major league level getting his reps in an environment that inflates everything.

The question is always timing with top prospects. When does he get the call? Watch the Rockies' roster situation closely. Colorado isn't competing for anything, so there's no reason for them to hold him back if he's raking. Stash him now if you have the bench space.

Franklin Arias, SS, Boston Red Sox

Arias is one of the more exciting middle infield prospects in the minors right now. The speed is real — he can wreck a game on the bases — and the glove at shortstop is already big league ready. The bat is what everyone's watching.

He's young, so there will be strikeout concerns as he climbs the ladder. That's normal. But the hit tool has shown enough improvement that scouts are no longer treating it as a liability. If it clicks, you're looking at a guy who can contribute across multiple categories — average, steals, and eventually some pop as he physically matures.

The Red Sox have a clearer path to the majors for him than most organizations would, especially with Story and Mayer hurt. Keep tabs on him. In deeper leagues, he's already a hold. In shallower formats, at least put him on your watch list so you're not caught flat-footed when the call comes.

Mike Sirota, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

Sirota doesn't have the name recognition of the other two guys on this list, but he's been one of the more quietly productive outfield prospects in the system this year. He's a patient hitter who draws walks, makes consistent contact, and profiles as someone who could contribute right away if given the opportunity.

He's not going to wow you with one tool. He's more of a sum-of-the-parts guy — on-base ability, line-drive approach, solid defense. In real baseball terms, that's a useful player. In fantasy terms, it means you're not drafting him for 40 home runs, but he could help your average and get you counting stats if he lands a regular role.

The Dodgers have a crowded outfield, which means he's stuck in the minors for now. He's deeper league priority right now, but if you're in a dynasty or a keeper format, he's worth the roster spot. Look for him to get traded at the deadline though.

The Bottom Line

Condon is the highest-upside add of the three — grab him in any format where prospects are rostered. Arias is a dynasty must-add and a strong hold in deeper redraft leagues. Sirota is a name to know, especially in NL-only or deeper formats where you need to be ahead of the curve on depth pieces.
