Ben Malgeri

Making his MLB debut in 2026, this 26-year-old centerfielder arrives with considerable promise but faces an immediate adjustment period, as evidenced by his early .200 average across limited at-bats. The Tigers are banking on his potential to develop into a productive offensive contributor who can chip in across multiple categories—particularly runs and RBIs—once he finds his footing at the major league level. His lack of early power and speed production warrants caution in draft preparations, though his youth and opportunity in a rebuilding Detroit lineup present meaningful upside for fantasy managers willing to stash him as a speculative asset. Monitor his performance closely over the first month, as strong development could make him a valuable depth option in deeper leagues.
