César Salazar

This 30-year-old catcher is mired in a severe offensive slump heading into 2026, posting a .056 average with minimal power or run production across his limited plate appearances this season. His Mid-Season All-Star selection from 2019 feels like a distant memory, as he has failed to generate any meaningful fantasy production in either of his recent campaigns. The lack of home runs, RBIs, and runs scored makes him a risky fantasy asset, and with limited playing time evident from his plate appearance totals, he offers minimal upside in standard leagues. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround in his offensive approach and opportunity, Salazar should remain on waiver wires while fantasy managers look elsewhere for catcher production.
