Patrick Bailey

Bailey enters 2026 as Cleveland's primary catcher, offering modest but consistent production across most offensive categories with upside for modest power growth. His 2025 campaign showed promise with 55 RBIs and 47 runs scored across 409 at-bats, though a concerning early-season 2026 slump (.174 AVG through 155 AB) raises questions about whether last year's performance was sustainable or an outlier. The 27-year-old provides stability at a thin position and should eventually stabilize his batting average as the season progresses, making him a solid mid-tier catcher option for fantasy rosters seeking a foundation at the position. While stolen bases remain unlikely and home run totals appear capped in the single digits, Bailey's ability to accumulate RBIs and runs makes him a reasonable floor play if his average rebounds toward .240+ territory.
